Spazio Cura 01: Inverted Paradise is a public space composed of altered fragments cut from buildings that were flagged for demolition and from found materials from sites of destruction within a 15 km radius. These include:

- An outdoor swimming pool made from stainless steel, stripped of all other materials, cut in 18 segments, transported to the new site, welded back together and resolved with slabs of red sandstone from a local quarry.

- Twin stairs from a post-war modernist building, prolonged and connected by a circular structure made from discarded industrial steel grids.

- Hand-carved red sandstone fragments from an undocumented historical building destroyed during WorldWar II turned into seating objects.

- Paths and floors made with gravel produced from the remnants of an Autobahn extension that cut through a redsandstone vein geologically unique to the area.

The work is built upon a former landfill and is situated between an industrial area, a vast construction site of a new development, and conserved green fields.

The Inverted Paradise offers visitors a safe and uncoded refuge, providing them with a space to rest and observe the surrounding, unhindered flourishing meadow and nature.

Realised under the umbrella of Spazio Cura.
